Air Quality Monitoring ?

Does my home need a ventilation system ?

Most likely. And if it doesn’t, it’s probably missing some windows and doors (incredibly draughty).

Most homes are already too air tight to to be adequately ventilated by just ‘natural ventilation’ (wind finding its way through leaks in the property).

An Air Quality Monitor can objectively (and inexpensively) tell you if your home is adequately ventilated, or if it’s too leaky.

An over ventilated home will waste energy. An under-ventilated home on the other hand will accumulate CO2, NOx and humidity that are potentially harmful to both occupants and the building.

What we advise

If you’re not sure about needing a whole house ventilation system, start off with getting just an Air Quality Monitor.

An Air Quality Monitor will allow you to assess ventilation in your home, and indirectly, air tightness. The Air Quality Monitors produced by LowCarbonLiving can be easily upgraded (at no cost) to control a ventilation system, should you later decide that a full ventilation system is appropriate.

The core goal of air quality controlled ventilation

Guaranteed good indoor air quality.

There are many good ventilation systems already on the market. Almost none of them actually monitor air quality, giving no feedback on how effective they actually are.
